Here are some steps to help you on your Sci-Fi story. I hope it helps.

Step 1: create a good name for your story.

Everybody needs a good name for their story to show an idea on how their story would be about. Here is an example:

Step 2: create the Main Character/s.

Your story needs main characters to help your story have a meaning for the moral. For an example, Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy was a main character since it was the story on how he became a Jedi master.

Step 3: amazing settings.

Settings are the most important part of a story since this was the surrounding of the characters. You must use it since you can’t tell where the characters could be without it.

Step 4: a beginning, middle and end.

Your story needs this or else what’s the point of the story without a story.

Do this and you’ll have a story probably making it to an award.

I believe that I should get my Genre Writing badge because I have used these:

• I have used a range of sentence structure.

• I’ve used good discription to discribe me characters and their surroundings.

• I’ve used good grammar.

This is why I should get the Genre Writing badge.

In the small town of Cubic City, I, Jay Morales, am it’s assassin and protector from the evil Templar but people know them as the inventing company known as Abstergo. I have been fighting them as an assassin with generations of assassins by my side. A few months ago, I came to meet my long lost brothers, Alex and Tyler Morales, but Tyler betrayed us and was actually a Templar spy. After training Alex, he was ready to become an assassin and he helped me and the other assassin teams in the fight through the war. To be able to win the war, we needed to find the pieces of Eden. We have already found some and need to retrieve the Shrout from the Templar’s but we needed one more, The Key of Eden. When we have retrieved the piece, then we would be able to stop the Templar’s at their path. My team called A team are known as Tray, Troy and Jax, three of my best assassins and best friends.

We had just got back from getting back to base with my brother, Alex, to celebrate his achievement on becoming an assassin but then General Desmond Miles told A team to go on a mission to retrieve the Shrout, the coat of Eden, from a Templar base in England, London. Finally, the day we get the penultimate Piece of Eden. Once my team found out about the good news, we got into gear very fast.

We had just sky dived to the porch of Big Ben. The dive was exhilarating like a birds first flight. We were told our rondavo point to meet was in the Thames Borough on Waterloo bridge where the Shrout was transferred from France to a groups of criminal Templar team called the Blighters. The weird thing is that their leader, Cromwell Stareg, was expecting us. He must be dumber the his great grandfather in which Eve and Jacob Fry, the Twin Assassins of London, had assassinated during the Victorian times. But this was too easy. Even though, this was our last time we could get the Shrout so we secretly assassinated all the remaining Blighters and went for the leader. We have done it and have got the Shrout but something tells me that the Templar’s are up to something.

My team and I was going to HQ but then we found out that it was destroyed. We have lost the war.

It’s been 8 years since the Templars won the war and the assassins have created a rebellion so we can stop them. This was very good but we had to find the door to the last piece of Eden, the key of Eden, but we had to use the Animus 3.0(a new design after the 2.0 was destroyed) to go to August 28, 1963, to the days of Cleveland and Franklin Knox, brother Assassins, to find the piece and save Martin Luther King Jr on the day he did his speech.

Franklin was stuck in the White House with a bunch of WTF which were a big thing during the time because they were the reasons why Blacks were segregated from Whites. I’m in the back of the White house and the first thing I find with my eagle vision is that there was a bomb. It was powered up by the key of Eden so that it can both destroy the half of Washington and finds the door of the Eden’s Light. Even if they do find the door, they would have killed themselves and they need the other pieces. So very quickly, I sneaked in the main room and defused the bombthen saved the President and other politicians who were with him and now I’m going after Franklin. As his elder brother, I couldn’t leave him to fend for his self (even if he was an assassin like me.)

I broke right through the door and found a problem. As well as Franklin was captured, I was made to do a decision. I get my brother and the WRF keep the piece of Eden or I take the piece of Eden and they kill my young sibling. I couldn’t let anything happen to my brother even if it meant the Eden’s key. So, I asked for my brother. After they untied my brother, I knew he would think I would have a plan (in which I did.) I yelled, “NOW!” Then we attacked the WRF and took the piece before they could do any thing.

While I was running with my brother, Martin Luther King came running with us saying that we had to protect the whole of America and the World as great Assassins and amazing freedom fighters against DATA. If this is true then that means that we will have a crisis in the future.

I knew it. The piece of Eden was in the coffin of Cleveland Knox’s grave. Both me and Alex ran to his grave but the future generations of the WRF was over there burning Cleveland’s body and stealing the key. We attacked with our new high-tech gadgets and weapons and fought against these fiends.

We brought back the key to a lab with all the pieces and then all the pieces collided together and a ghostly figure appeared wearing the pieces on him saying that we should lead him to the door to the Eden’s Light and that he was Eden, the first Assassin and the creator of the pieces of Eden.

We have just arrived to the White House with General Obama leading us to the door. Then the ghostly Assassin opened the door with the key and then a light shined out with a wave. We had word from mission control saying that all the Templars were disappearing from a mysterious wave of light. We have done it. The Templars a gone for good but then, when I turned around, I found my other brother, Tyler, putting Alex in a head-lock with a gun within his grasp and said,”Give me the light and you won’t be wasting your money on another funeral!” I couldn’t believe it. Tyler would sacrifice his own brother so he can have the light even though it wasn’t any use to him anyway. I tried to convince him but all he kept saying,”DATA! DATA needs the Eden’s Light!” We had no idea what hew was saying but then I remembered that General Desmond mentioned a story that when he was in his 20’s that he went into a cave with his dad and two other assassin mates saying that he had a vision that he met a digital woman called DATA and that Martin Luther King told Cleveland about some crisis coming soon. Is this her doing.

All of a sudden, Alex attacked Tyler by punching his crotch and then ran to me. He told me that there was something on Tyler’s neck and that maybe he was mind-controlled this whole time. I ran and made it look like an attack but when I got close, I karat chopped his neck and destroyed the transmitter. All of a sudden, Tyler felt like he had just woke up since the day he was born. Then he told us that the threat wasn’t over and that DATA was creating a digital army but we were ready. With our new arsenal and new ally, nothing was stopping us.

This is my life. This my story.

THE END

I believe Reeve makes Shrike feel like an evil person but deep inside, he’s actually a heartfelt person. This can show how a creepy man can have hopes and dreams. It also proves the philosophy “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”.

‘“HESTER SHAW!” Screeched a voice like a saw cutting metal.’

This shows an evil appearance to Shrike because of the way people ran away and feel scared with he’s voice. As well as that, he tries to make his voice sound creepy since he’s a stalker and stalkers are evil, murderous and heartless psychopaths. This is also the point that everyone thinks he’s a villain but after a sudden shock, Hester knew who he was.

‘“Hello, Shrike,” said Hester.’

Now everyone knows that he has been told to kill Hester and Tom. Now the twosome have to run away from Shrike.With a murdering cyborg on their back, it will be time-consuming and the gang may have a longer journey then planned. The next chapter shows us how Hester tells Tom on how her and Shrike met.

‘“Of course he did,” she said.“We’re old friends, Shrike and I.”‘

This indicates that Shrike does have a heart through out the chapter. We also find out that Shrike was going to kill Hester as a young girl but instead Shrike let’s her go and the two became great friends. This also shows that Hester may be able to reason with Shrike and then Tom and her will be safe. This can also indicate that Shrike can become a great ally to the like Anna Fang is.

Eventually, Shrike dies because Tom accidentally man-slotted him before Shrike could murder him by pushing Tom down a mountain slope or stabbing Tom with Shrike’s raze, sharp claws. This is a sad ending to Shrike because, even though he was told to murder, Tom knew that Shrike had hopes and dreams and knew he had done a big mistake.

This shows on how people can have mixed feelings for Shrike. Even when dead, Shrike had a great heart and would be a great name to the Mortal Engine’s tetra-logy. I hope this gives you a little description on what the story is about.

When I was in Yr4, I pranked a guy called Tom when our class went to the Brixton Ritzy. It started my class had just finished watching a movie called The March of the Pengiuins.

Dear Mr Dastagir,

I would like to write to you about three problems: the lunch hall entrance, bullying and banta. Do these troubles affect our school? I believe so.

As a student of yours, I have been concerned. I have also witnessed and happen to be affected by these subjects. These issues can create lots of problems like being late for an activity during lunch or that someone has bullied someone and they’re not admitting it. This whole letter will show how I would like to resolve these problems.

I would like to complain about the entrance to the lunch hall first. I wasn’t aware that the year 10s and year 11s can go to lunch with the entrance in front of the reception office. This is bad because people may be late for not hurrying to go to the club or the extra lesson. I believe that if both the entrance in front of the playground and the one in front of the reception were two different entrances then life would be much more peaceful. As an extra, we can use the door by the canteen as an exit so there won’t be any trouble. Easy as banoffy pie!

I would also like to talk about bullying and how it can affect other students that can’t help themselves. I have been bullied many times in the past and kinda still am. I know anti-bullying week is already real but even during then, bullying still has an effect on many students. I believe that if a PSHE lesson was created to help bullies to stop being bullies then it can also help the victims who have been bullied. As well as that, the idea can help the bullies whether they have bad grades because they wouldn’t have time for these things: giving kids paralysing wedgies, make victims do their homework or make them wear kick-me signs.

The final thing I would like to complain about is banta. Many bullies use banta as a way to get out of trouble even when the victim doesn’t believe that is so. mainly, if a bully uses the word banta as a way to get out of trouble, then they have done a serious thing and it can be really harmful. The idea for resolving the bullying act is a great idea for this situation as well because it can show the bullies by telling them that they should be responsible for their actions. Also, it can help them to show what will happen if they continue with this. Great.

I know you will like the new lunch time exits and entrances and the anti-bullying PSHE lessons. If it still continues, these sanctions must be made by these steps:

1.) Thirty minutes detention.

2.) Hour detention.

3.) Referral.

4.) Exclusion.

I hope this works. Don’t forget to tell the children that they can’t redeem themselves at that point. The list only affects when the bullying/banta PSHE lessons has not worked.

One of your London Nautical School students in year seven.

The way Salman Rashdie prepares us for the events in chapter 1 is how everyone in the city is sad but one family who are happy everyday. Then, all of a sudden, the family breaks up. The mum leaves the family and runs away with the nextdoor neighbours husband, the dad is unable to tell stories to the town who forgot it’s name and Haroun is so sad that the family has spattered.

The way he shows the familys problem is that he made Haroun ask his dad how he got these stories. His dad, Rashid Kalifa (The Ocean of Notions), told him he had a water genie give him a story water tap so he can drink some story water so he can tell a story from the sea of stories. Haroun didn’t believe him so he kept asking his dad how he came up with these stories until Soraya, Harouns mum, had enough. That is also why she left.

“Maybe the sadness of the city finally crept in through their window.”

This shows how the city is know to its people as sad ones and now the family has got the sadness, they can not get away from it.

Storywater was one of the things that Rashid told Haroun about. He said that who ever drank the water will be able to tell stories from the sea of stories. He also said that water genies have him a tap to get the water. As a class, we thought that this was a lie but when we got to chapter 4, story water was real. The water genie thing was true as well. There is a genie called Iff the water genie and he has a disconnecting tool that allowed he to makgenies distroy a disconnecting tool. There is also a Gup city where water genies live.

The theme is like an Arabian nights, fairytale and modern theme.

This shows us how Salman Rashdie prepares us for the events in chapter 1.

A much better thing to do would be to re-draft your work, showing that you have acted upon your targets.  I will show you how to do this in class.

Annie was on his way to her home on a stormy night when she heard something. She thought it was a cat but it looked bigger than that. She ran but it was worthless since the thing was faster. All of a sudden, the thing got in front of her. It was a man wearing a hood. He took it of. The man wasn’t hear to attack but hear to help. He told her his name was Timothy. She was taken home and said thanks. Ever since this peculiar meeting, both Annie and Timothy have been friends for a very long time.
